Dr. Rajalakshmanan Eswaramoorthy has more than 15 years of Teaching and Research Experience in Advanced biomaterials and stem cells based musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering. He has completed his Postdoctoral fellowship training in various reputed institutes such as University of California, Davis, USA, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. He published more than 40 research and review articles in reputed international journals and 3 book chapters related to biomaterials and stem cells based tissue engineering.  He holds more than 10 issued international patents (USPTO, EU, and Taiwan). He delivered invited and guest lecturers in many International and National conference and seminars. He is an Academic editor of Journal of Chemistry (Impact Factor 2.72) Hindawi. His research focuses are advanced biomaterials, tissue engineering, medicinal and computational chemistry.

  • Stem cells based tissue engineering approach for Dental and musculoskeletal regeneration.

  • Nano- & micro-particles based controlled release systems and their anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory studies.

  • Synthesis & isolation of natural products and their anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, and anti-microbial studies.

Dr. Palanivel Sathishkumar completed his doctoral degree in Periyar University and continued his research career as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Jeonbuk National University (South Korea), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), and South China Normal University (China). He published nearly 80 articles in SCI journals with a cumulative impact factor of 850. He handled several Special Issues as a Managing Guest Editor in Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Research, and Chemosphere. In addition, he also serving as Associate Editor/Editorial Member in Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering, Current Opinion in Environmental Science and Health, Environmental Quality Management, Bioprocess Biosystems Engineering, and International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology. Presently, he is doing research in the following topic: (i) fabrication of sustainable materials for medical and environmental applications, (ii) drug development for infectious diseases, and (iii) investigation of PhACs ecological issues and mitigations strategy development.

Dr. Ashok K. Sundaramoorthy had completed his PhD in the field of Electrochemistry and Post graduate in Chemistry. He has received Early Career Research Award, International Indo-Russia and CRG grants (Total: 84 Lakhs) from DST-SERB, New Delhi. He published 100+ research and review articles in reputed international journals and published two books as a editor. He has written five book chapters. He granted three USA and one Indian patents. Serving as an academic editor for Journal of Nanomaterials, Current Analytical Chemistry and Frontiers in materials. He delivered several invited and guest lectures in many international and national conferences. He received best researcher award and Visiting Fellow Award from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), India. He guided 4 PhD students and 10+ master students for their research thesis’s.

Nanomaterials for Dental Applications

Research areas:

We are synthesizing advanced functional nanomaterials (in the form of Particles, Rods, Sheets, Ribbon, etc.), nanocomposites and biocompatible materials by various methods. Fabrication of transducers for the detection of chemicals, biomolecules, toxins, pollutants cancer biomarkers, health care monitoring, pesticide analysis, food safety, etc. Green synthesis of nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications.

  • 0D, 1D, 2D & 3D Materials (CQDs, CNTs, Graphene, MXene, MoS 2 , WS 2 , etc.) and their composites with metallic nanoparticles & conducting polymers (ZnO, NiO, CuO, TiO 2 , Ag nanoparticles, PEDOT:PSS, etc.)

  • Carbon quantum dots (CQDs): Synthesis from natural resources, characterization and applications in sensors and bio-imaging.

  • Materials for green energy: Microbial fuel cells, Supercapacitors and Sustainable materials

  • Wearable Electronics: Flexible biosensors for health-care monitoring and Oral cavity

  • Prototype biosensors for noninvasive, dynamic, and real-time monitoring of physiological processes in the human body.


Dr. Chitra, completed her M. Sc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, securing a gold medal and was awarded with INSPIRE fellowship from Department of Science and Technology (DST) for her Ph.D. program. Her Docotralresearch was Nano-Bioactive materials for Biomedical applications under the “Cognizing Nano-Structured Bioactive Glass for Hemostatic, Orthopedic, and Endodontic Applications”.  Dr. Chitrahas published more than 15 research articles in highly reputed peer reviewed journals such as in Materials Science and Engineering C, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, RSC Biomaterial Sciences. She has also presented her research findings in various conferences and has been recognized with best poster awards.

  • Fabrication of thin films and nano-fiber of metals, metal oxides using spin coating and electrospinning techniques.

  • Chemical synthesis of nanoparticles (CuO, ZnO, Ag, Au, TiO2, SiO2, CrO etc…) of metals and metal oxides using sol-gel, Co-precipitation, hydrothermal, polyol, solid-state reaction and microwave assisted synthesis techniques.
