Dr. A. Palanivel sathishkumar , M.sC., Ph.D.,

Dr. Palanivel Sathishkumar earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Periyar University, India. He also holds an M.Phil. in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University and M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Microbiology from Periyar University. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued his research career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Jeonbuk National University (South Korea), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), and South China Normal University (China), gaining extensive international research experience in environmental and biomedical sciences.
His work primarily focuses on the fabrication of sustainable materials for medical and environmental applications, drug development for infectious diseases, and the investigation and mitigation of pharmaceutical and personal care contaminants (PhACs) in the environment. Dr. Sathishkumar has published nearly 80 articles in SCI-indexed journals with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 850. He has served as Managing Guest Editor for several leading journals, including Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Research, and Chemosphere, and currently serves as an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for multiple international journals in the fields of environmental science, biotechnology, and engineering.

Dr. Chitra earned her Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Madras, India. She completed her M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with a Gold Medal and was awarded the prestigious INSPIRE Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, for her doctoral studies. She also holds a B.Sc. in Advanced Zoology with Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, graduating with First Class and Distinction. Her doctoral research focused on the development of nano-structured bioactive materials for hemostatic, orthopedic, and endodontic applications.
Her work primarily focuses on bio-ceramics, bioactive materials, and nano-structured biomaterials for orthopedic, dental, and bone tissue engineering applications. Her research encompasses bioglass, hydroxyapatite, tricalcium phosphate, metal oxide nanoparticles, nanocomposites, thin films, nanofibers, and biomaterials for biomedical applications. Dr. Chitra has published more than 15 research articles in reputed international journals, including Materials Science and Engineering C, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, and RSC Biomaterials Science. She has also presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and has received several Best Poster Awards for her scientific contributions.

DR. K. Ashok K. Sundramoorthy , M.Sc., Ph.D.,

Dr. Ashok K. Sundaramoorthy earned his Ph.D. in Engineering (Electrochemistry) from the National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan. He also holds an M.Phil. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Madras, an M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Madras. Throughout his academic career, he has established himself as a leading researcher in electrochemistry, nanomaterials, and biomedical sensing technologies, while mentoring 4 Ph.D. scholars and more than 10 master's students.
His work primarily focuses on biosensors, wearable electronics, biomaterials, green synthesis, and nanomaterials for dental applications. He has received prestigious funding, including the Early Career Research Award, International Indo-Russia Grant, and Core Research Grant (CRG) from DST-SERB, New Delhi, with a cumulative funding value of ₹84 lakhs. Dr. Ashok has published over 100 research and review articles in reputed international journals, edited two books, authored five book chapters, and holds three US patents and one Indian patent. He serves as an Academic Editor for several international journals and has received the Best Researcher Award and Visiting Fellow Award from JNCASR, India, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research and innovation.

Dr. Senthil Rethinam earned his Ph.D. from the Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR), Chennai, and holds both M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Through his academic and research career, he has developed extensive expertise in biomaterials, nanobiotechnology, and translational biomedical research, contributing to the advancement of innovative healthcare technologies.
His work primarily focuses on oral cancer therapeutics, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and the development of advanced biomaterials for biomedical applications. His research encompasses bioactive scaffolds, nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, bone regeneration, wound healing, dental implants, and sustainable material technologies. He has extensive experience in integrating natural and synthetic biomaterials, including collagen, chitosan, hydroxyapatite, and graphene-based nanocomposites, to develop innovative solutions that bridge laboratory research with clinical applications.

Dr. S. Pugalmani earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Anna University, M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Madras, and both his B.Ed. and B.SC. in Chemistry from Thiruvalluvar University. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a Research Professor at internationally renowned institutions, including Pusan National University, South Korea, and Tsinghua University, China, where he gained extensive international research experience and expertise in advanced materials research.
His work primarily focuses on medical implants and the development of metals and alloys for biomedical applications. Dr. Pugalmani has secured major research grants from ANRF, the Research Scheme on Power under the Central Power Research Institute (Government of India), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 70 research articles in reputed international journals, with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 250 and an H-index of 21.

Dr. S. Balachandran is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Functional Materials and Materials Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Physiology, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, SIMATS, Chennai. His research focuses on the design and fabrication of functional nanomaterials, including semiconductor heterostructures, graphene-based materials, MOFs, COFs, and MXenes for environmental, biomedical, and energy-related applications. He has extensive expertise in photocatalysis for water purification, toxic dye degradation, pesticide removal, heavy metal reduction, UV-shielding, self-cleaning materials, and electrocatalytic applications such as supercapacitors, HER, OER, and ORR. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in China and has received prestigious fellowships, including the CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative and the NSFC International Young Scientists Research Fund. His research contributions include high-impact publications, patents, and interdisciplinary work aimed at developing sustainable functional materials for clean energy, environmental remediation, and biomedical technologies.

Dr. Ganeshraja Ayyakannu Sundaram is an Associate Professor in the Department of Research Analytics (Prosthodontics) at Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai, India, where he leads the Energy & Environmental Nanomaterials Laboratory (E 2 Nano Lab) dedicated to advanced functional nanomaterials. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Pondicherry University, awarded in 2014, and completed his postdoctoral research at the Mössbauer Effect Data Center, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, where he was also a recipient of the prestigious CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) award during his postdoctoral period. He has more than 8 years of teaching experience and more than 15 years of research experience in the fields of nanomaterials, photocatalysis, spintronics, clean energy generation, environmental remediation, and biomedical applications. His research profile is strengthened by his ongoing UGC-DAE project in India and his completed National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project, reflecting his sustained contributions to internationally supported research. Dr. Ganeshraja Ayyakannu Sundaram., M.sc., Ph.D.,
Dr. Vennila Srinivasan is a polymer chemist specializing in sustainable and functional materials with potential applications in biomedical and dental fields. Her research focuses on polyurethane systems, nanocomposites, and bio-based polymers, with an emphasis on developing environmentally friendly materials with enhanced mechanical strength, adhesion, and durability. Her doctoral research at the University of Madras involved modifying waste styrofoam for applications in polymer adhesives, coatings, and UV-curable systems. During her postdoctoral work at Shandong Agricultural University, China, she developed cork-based non-isocyanate polyurethane materials, sustainable coatings, and high-performance composites with improved thermal stability, water resistance, fire resistance, hydrophobicity, and biocompatibility potential. Her work is relevant to dental materials, including restorative composites, protective coatings, and bio-adhesives. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals (Total: 17 (International 13, and national 4)) and adopts an interdisciplinary approach integrating polymer chemistry and materials science. Dr. T. Raja completed his doctoral degree in Composite Materials from Vel Tech University after obtaining his Master’s degree in Engineering Design (2014) and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (2011) and from Anna University. Since joining Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals in 2022, he has made significant interdisciplinary research contributions in sustainable composites, biomaterials, dental materials, additive manufacturing, and green nanomaterials. Dr. K. Viswanathan received a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from National Chi Nan University in Taiwan, with a strong interdisciplinary background in biochemistry. He has published over 40 SCI-indexed research articles, with a cumulative impact factor over 120. His work focuses on functional nanomaterial-based formulations such as nano drug delivery systems, self-healing gels, films, wound healing formulations, scaffolds, and in situ gels, as well as bioanalytical applications such as fluorescent nanomaterial immunoassays and quenching kinetics. His work focuses on translational research, which is the transfer of scientific ideas into products that meet unmet needs and technological commercialization. He actively participates in interdisciplinary research aimed at improving healthcare and environmental sustainability, and he also serves as a reviewer for over ten international journals.
Dr. N. Murugan obtained his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Periyar University, Salem, India, and completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Periyar University in 2016. He subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India, and later served as a Research Professor at Yeungnam University, South Korea. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science at Chonnam National University, South Korea. Currently, he is serving as an Associate Professor at Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, India. Dr. Murugan’s research expertise encompasses carbon nanomaterials, biomaterials, biopolymer composites, hydroxyapatite-based materials, MXene-based hybrid nanostructures, electrocatalysts for water splitting, supercapacitors, electrochemical sensors, hydrogen evolution reactions, and renewable energy storage systems. His recent research focuses on biomass-derived porous carbon frameworks, metal–organic framework-derived catalysts, advanced nanostructured materials, and sustainable energy conversion and storage technologies.He has published numerous SCI-indexed research articles in reputed international journals, including Carbon, ChemSusChem, Renewable Energy, Journal of Energy Storage, and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
